Things I might like to know before I buy…
How many players do I need?
©Escape Party games have been designed for groups of 2-6 people. If you have more than 6 people playing simply work in teams of 2-6 with a print of the game pack per team.
How old do the players need to be?
Each ©Escape Party game comes with an age rating.
'Captain Kidd's Treasure' game is ideal for age 8+ years old with a complexity level of beginner to intermediate.
How much space do I need?
As little or as much as you have available. ©Escape Party games have been designed so they can be done in a space such as a dining room or living room, so as long as there's space for all the players it'll be fine. There are lots of ways to enhance the experience and make it more immersive and some of these will require more space but they are by no means essential to game.
How hard are the games?
Captain Kidd's Treasure has fun and challenging tasks, activities and puzzles ideal for age 8+ years old.
Can I get a refund?
Absolutely. If you spent your hard earned cash buying an ©Escape Party game only to find it wasn't right for you just let us know and we'll be happy to give you your money back. The only thing we would ask is that you give us your feedback so we can improve.
Once I've bought the game...
How do I download the Escape Party kit?
After purchasing the Escape Party kit you will receive an email to confirm the sale and to supply you with a download link.
Click the link and follow the on screen instructions to download the game.
This will download a Zip file. Find the file in your downloads folder and follow the instructions below for Mac or Windows computer.
Mac - double click the zip file which will create a folder of the same name. This will contain all of the files you need.
Windows - press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Extract All. You will be asked where to put the folder to be created. It will default to your current folder which should be fine. Hit extract to create the folder with the same name. This will contain all of the files you need.
How do I customise the Escape Party kit?
To edit the puzzles and implement your own modifications to the game following the guide below. You can make small changes like adding names for birthday parties, club or school names or terminology that is more appropriate. Larger changes like changing or adding puzzles can also be achieved with a little time.
Open the Powerpoint file called 'Editors Kit.pdf' found in the Editors kit folder of the download.
Make any changes you require as you would for any Microsoft Powerpoint presentation.
Use your own images or images supplied in the images folder in the Editors kit folder.
Once completed save the file as a pdf file.
How do I print the Escape Party kit?
Open the pdf file and print the game on standard A4 (International) or letter (USA) size paper. Printing on thicker paper, card or photo paper will enhance the look of the game but is not necessary.
The game is designed for 2-6 players and can be played in teams if you have a larger number. You will need to print and prepare a copy of the game per team.
How do I set up the game?
All of the games have their own set up instructions which are supplied in the downloaded zip file or on the website under Set up.
Can I play the game more than once?
Once the players have played the game they'll know the challenges and answers so it wouldn't be so much fun to play it again. Why not have a look at the other games we have available, there are new ones being added to the range all the time. As a host however you might well use a game more than once, with different groups of players.
Can I share the game with friends?
Sure, once you've bought an ©Escape Party game it's yours, you can play it with friends and family or pass it on for them to have a go themselves. Please don't sell ©Escape Party games though, and don't upload them anywhere for file sharing as they're protected by copyright and you don't want to get into trouble!!
Can I sell the game?
Can I run the game as a chargeable event?
